Physiotherapy Modalities & Passive Care

Interferential Current - IFC

Is an electrical impulse for the purpose of reducing pain, inflammation, swelling, and muscle spasms. This type of current goes deeper than a TENS device and interferes with pain transmission at the spinal cord. Depending on the injury, IFC can be used to increase and improve lack of joint movement. â€‹

Cupping

Is based upon ancient Chinese therapy whereby cups are placed on injured areas. These cups are "suctioned" to the skin and can either be stationary or moved along a muscle. It is said to draw blood to the affected area which improves circulation and decrease muscle tension.

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)

Is a low frequency laser - a form of photo-biomodulation therapy used for pain reduction and healing stimulation. It is effective in treating musculoskeletal conditions such as but not limited to Achilles Tendinopathy, TMJ dysfunction, shin splints, Morton's Neuroma and other pain disorders.
